Operations Manager

Our client is a well-established global Tier 1 automotive supplier, is expanding its reach into the global agricultural market.

Education/Experience

• B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar relevant degree from a 4+ year accredited university.
• 5+ years experience of production or manufacturing leadership/management.
• Experience managing ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 systems.
• Experience in electronics assembly, robotics, aerospace, UAV, or agricultural equipment manufacturing.

Production Operations Management

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations for commercial and agricultural drones.
• Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
• Optimize assembly workflows for airframes, propulsion systems, avionics, GPS modules, spraying systems, and battery systems.
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.
• Monitor KPIs including throughput, yield, defect rates, and production costs.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with QS 9001 quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with UAV regulatory standards (FAA, CE, or local aviation authority requirements).
• Maintain quality control procedures and testing protocols.
• Oversee final inspection, flight testing, and system validation.
• Ensure documentation traceability and manufacturing records accuracy.

Supply Chain & Inventory Control

• Collaborate with procurement to maintain component availability (motors, ESCs, flight controllers, LiDAR, spraying modules, batteries, etc.).
• Manage inventory levels to reduce waste and prevent shortages.
• Support evaluation and improvement of supplier performance.

Process Development & Continuous Improvement

• Work with engineering to transition new drone models from R&D to production.
• Lead design-for-manufacturing (DFM) initiatives.
• Implement ERP/MRP systems to enhance operational efficiency. xrczosw
