Salary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll work closely with our pharmacists to assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications, provide excellent customer service, and support various pharmacy operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Dispensing: Accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, including medication history, allergies, and current treatments. Ensure compliance with legal and organizational documentation standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers to discuss and resolve medication-related issues. Collaborate with other pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, including ordering and stocking medications. Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products.
- Compliance: Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including maintaining confidentiality and following ethical practices.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure the highest standards of pharmaceutical care and safety.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Licensure: Valid and active pharmacy technician license in Michigan. NOTE: License not required to apply, but employees in this position will be expected to obtain a pharmacy license within one year of starting.
- Experience: Experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred (not required). Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.
- Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, empathetic, and committed to providing exceptional patient care. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
