Medical Director - Maternal Fetal Medicine

This role entails providing physician leadership and oversight for our Maternal Fetal Medicine Service Line while engaging collaboratively with our Administrative and Clinical Director for Women’s and Children’s Services in a dyad partnership. You will also work alongside our OB/GYN Medical Directors for Grand Rapids and the Lakeshore. This dynamic leadership opportunity allows you to shape and enhance our Maternal Fetal Medicine program within a mission-driven organization dedicated to making a lasting difference in the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited to:
- Clinical Leadership: Oversee and direct the Health Medical Group's Maternal Fetal Medicine service line, ensuring the provision of the highest quality care for complex maternal-fetal cases.
- Patient Care: Deliver comprehensive and patient-centered care for individuals with high-risk pregnancies, including diagnostic, consultative, and management services. Collaborate closely with obstetricians, neonatologists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated care.
- Program Development: Work in conjunction with other administrative and clinical leadership to develop and enhance our Maternal Fetal Medicine program. The Medical Director will be accountable for the performance of assigned offices and programs in the West Michigan market, with a focus on achieving Quality, Service Excellence, Colleague Engagement, Stewardship, and financial objectives.
- Education and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to medical students and residents.
Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine practice (excluding training). A minimum of two years in a leadership capacity or completion of training pertinent to the role is highly preferred. We are not accepting candidates who are new graduates, those with lapsed Board Certification, or locum tenens candidates. We are open to H1B visa candidates but cannot accept J1 waivers.
Compensation and Benefits:The selected candidate may present salary expectations at this time. Requirements:

- Board Certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine [REQUIRED] - Michigan state license (or willingness to obtain) [REQUIRED] - DEA certification (or willingness to obtain) [REQUIRED] - BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain) [REQUIRED]
- Clean malpractice history [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
- A minimum of five years of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine practice (please specify the number of years in the "Experience" section) [REQUIRED]
- A minimum of two years of experience in a leadership role or completion of relevant training (please specify the number of years in the "Experience" section) [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
- Indication of whether the provider requires visa support (J1 or H1B) [REQUIRED]
