We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team specializing in interiors carpentry, focusing primarily on steel stud, acoustical ceilings, and drywall construction. The role involves working mainly on office buildings and schools. Superintendents are expected to engage in hands-on work as needed, contributing to a variety of projects. Candidates with field experience or a degree are welcome, provided they have experience at the second-tier subcontractor level.

Responsibilities

• Manage onsite subcontractor contracts.

• Report to the Project Manager throughout the project development.

• Coordinate onsite safety measures.

• Engage in hands-on labor tasks as necessary.

• Oversee project closeouts, budget management, and timeline management.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of construction experience.

• 3+ years of experience as a superintendent.

• Experience with commercial subcontractor construction.

• Proficient in building steel stud and/or acoustical ceilings.

• Knowledge of construction software.

• Expertise in construction management, supervision, and subcontractor management.

• Familiarity with OSHA 30 safety regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to develop and enhance leadership skills.

Work Environment

The superintendent will work onsite at new builds, beginning alongside an experienced superintendent before managing their own job site. Work weeks typically range from 40-50 hours, with projects located throughout the greater West Michigan area. Employees work with a high-character leadership team committed to long-term staff development. Projects involve collaboration with top-tier general contractors on high-end local projects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Caledonia, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
