Claims Verification Specialist

As a Claims Verification Specialist at Mike Morse Law Firm, you'll play a critical role in our client journey. Once a client retains our firm, you'll lead a secondary intake process—engaging directly with clients to gather essential documentation and information. Your work ensures each claim is thoroughly evaluated and routed to the appropriate legal team.

Location: Southfield, MI (Hybrid/Remote Eligible After 90 Days) Employment Type: Full-Time | Monday-Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients via phone, email, and other channels.
- Respond professionally to inquiries from clients, claims adjusters, providers, and other stakeholders.
- Organize and manage pre-suit materials such as treatment records, insurance documents, and correspondence.
- Follow up on outstanding documentation and escalate issues when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records in firm databases and spreadsheets.
- Analyze case files and provide recommendations to the Claims Verification Manager.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Strong communication and consultative skills
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Cultural awareness and professionalism
- Familiarity with Michigan No Fault Law
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Adobe
- Accurate data entry skills in Case Management Software
- Bilingual candidates (Arabic or Spanish) are strongly encouraged to apply!
Work Environment
- Professional office setting with standard equipment
- Physical demands include talking, listening, standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Background in law school, claims adjusting, or paralegal studies is a plus
Additional Details
- Full-time position, Monday through Friday
- Remote or hybrid work option available after a 90-day training period
- This is subject to change and may evolve with the needs of the firm
