Die Repair Technician
Responsible for, mainly, die maintenance, as well as, other general maintenance duties.
I. Core Activities:
1. Die Maintenance:
a. Die Repair (sharpening, part replacement, etc.)
b. Preventive Maintenance (troubleshooting, cleaning, repair, lubricating, etc.)
c. Predictive Maintenance (inspection, troubleshooting, repair, modifications & adjustment, etc.)
2. Equipment Maintenance:
a. Assistance with Overhead Cranes.
b. Assistance with all Blanking Presses.
c. Assistance with all Slitting Lines.
d. Assistance with Forklifts.
e. Assistance with Overhead Doors.
f. Assistance with Plumbing.
3. General Maintenance:
a. Assistance with Main Office.
b. Assistance with Plant.
c. Assistance with Grounds.
4. Welding:
a. Equipment maintenance.
b. Perform various welding.
5. Shop Equipment Maintenance:
a. Lathes.
b. Grinders.
c. Welding Equipment.
d. Drills.
e. Vertical Mills
f. Miscellaneous Equipment.
6. New Project Fabrication:
a. Design.
b. Layout.
c. Assembly.
d. Testing.
7. Environmental Management System:
a. EMS Response Team member.
b. Working knowledge of instructions and procedures concerning environmental management.
8. Other duties as assigned: On call 24 hours, 7 days.
9. Has the authority to stop production if necessary to correct quality or safety problems.
II. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
1. Ability to juggle multiple tasks.
2. Ability to attend to detail and maintain accuracy.
3. Knowledge of tools used in fabrication and repair: welders, torches, measuring devices, general hand tools, etc.
4. Ability to communicate with other employees by verbal and written directions.
5. Clerical skills needed to document work completed.
6. Knowledge of machine hydraulic, electrical and other basic control systems.
7. Knowledge of electrical test equipment used in machine troubleshooting and repair.
III. Work Style:
1. Adherence to company policies and procedures.
2. Arriving punctually to work and good attendance is mandatory.
3. Establish a positive and professional working relationship with fellow staff members.

5. Willing and able to have flexibility with work assignments and objectives to meet company’s success, including other assignments outside of normal job duties.
IV. Experience and Education:
1. Minimum of 3 years hands on experience in die repair.
2. 4 years of High School or GED.

1. Basic Orientation
2. Occupational Noise Exposure
3. Lockout/Tagout
4. Powered Industrial Truck Training
5. Overhead Crane/Hoist and Sling Training
6. Man lift Training
7. Respirator Fit Testing
8. IATF Document Training
