Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher position is available for the uping school year at a K-12 educational institution in Ann Arbor, MI. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students with diverse learning needs by providing tailored instruction and support in an inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Adapt general education lessons to meet the requirements of individual students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student growth
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and learning
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with diverse K-12 student populations
- Strong munication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of current special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Ability to create inclusive lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles
