Job Summary

The Senior Scientist, Analytical Development performs extensive laboratory work to support pre-formulation, formulation development, technology transfer activities, clinical trials, and evaluation of product performance and stability. With minimal supervision, the role manages projects to ensure timely completion of testing, accuracy of results, proper documentation, and effective communication of analytical findings to stakeholders.
Job Description
- Perform extensive laboratory work supporting pre-formulation, formulation development, technology transfer, clinical trials, and evaluation of product performance and stability
- Conduct analytical method development, validation, and transfer
- Perform analytical laboratory testing to support product development
- Accurate and timely document experiments and results in notebooks, ELN, and LIMS (as required)
- Manage projects with minimal supervision to ensure tests are completed on time, results are accurate, and activities are fully documented
- Communicate analytical activities and findings effectively to stakeholders
- Follow SOPs, OIs, and analytical laboratory practices to ensure quality and compliance
- Write analytical methods, specifications, method validation reports, experimental reports, and SOPs/OIs
- Perform GMP reviews of analytical activities, including method development, validation, transfer, product development batch testing, process optimization batches, stability submission batches, and instrument technical records
- Interact with analysts during data reviews and recommend corrections, modifications, or improvements to ensure consistent documentation practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills Required
- QC or R&D experience within the pharmaceutical industry
- Hands-on experience with Waters and Agilent HPLC/UPLC systems and dissolution apparatus (USP Type 1 and 2)
- Strong understanding of analytical chemistry and chromatography
- Ability to troubleshoot analytical testing and method-related issues
- Knowledge of and adherence to GMP and SOP requirements
- Familiarity with analytical laboratory documentation practices
- Expertise in Waters Empower3 CDS
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as a collaborative team player
- Practical experience with analytical method development and validation
Education/Training/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science (or international equivalent) with 7+ years of pharmaceutical analytical laboratory experience
- Master’s degree or higher in Science (or international equivalent) with 5+ years of pharmaceutical analytical laboratory experience

- Must pass a drug screening and criminal background checks
- Shift Start Time: 08:000 A M

Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $45.57 to $53.57 per hour based on qualifications.
