Salary Range: $56,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of machinists, providing technical guidance and support.
• Oversee machine setup, programming, and operation to ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
• Conduct thorough quality inspections of machined parts, identifying and resolving deviations.
• Train new and junior machinists on machine operation, safety protocols, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex machining issues and perform minor machine maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineering to optimize machining processes and improve product design for manufacturability.
• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a machinist, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Expert proficiency in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting both CNC and manual machining equipment (mills, lathes, grinders).
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Strong understanding of G-code programming, CAM software, and tooling selection for various materials.
• Proven leadership skills, including the ability to train, mentor, and effectively manage a team of machinists.
• Commitment to maintaining high quality standards, performing in-process inspections, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced CAM programming and post-processor editing.
• Demonstrated ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in CMM operation and interpreting inspection data.
• Experience in designing custom fixtures and tooling for complex parts.
