Inspection Technician | Spring Lake, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of manufactured products and components.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and quality standards to ensure compliance.
• Accurately document inspection results, including pass/fail status and non-conformances.
• Identify, segregate, and report defective materials or products.
• Initiate and follow through on non-conformance reports for out-of-spec items.
• Adhere to all quality control procedures, work instructions, and safety regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs).
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills for identifying defects and non-conformances.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification
• Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programming or advanced operation
• Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software or data analysis tools
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt certification
