**In this position...**
Determine Transmissions and PDU: EOL, IPT, main control functional air test process, main control oil test and calibration process methodologies for new programs. Lead implementation of main control oil calibration strategy across all transmission programs. Build analytical models of main control functions to assist with troubleshooting main control and test machine issues. Provide technical assistance during main control simultaneous engineering efforts for new programs. Provide technical assistance during launch of new programs. Provide guidance to STA and suppliers for outsourced components / assemblies and related test processes. Provide technical assistance to plant test engineers as required.Coordinate efforts with transmission NVH test technical specialist, regarding pass through characteristics and quality metrics. Drive common test process with Plants and ATNPC - develop & maintain BOP for Test. Update and maintain bill of process and methods documents for Transmissions and PDU: EOL, IPT, main control functional air test process, main control oil test and calibration process
**What you'll do...**
+ Teach/Coach/Mentor and document technical knowledge
+ Provide technical leadership to peers and management to assure the delivery of system performance
+ Provide leadership to peers to deliver new programs and assistance to plant test engineers around the world
+ Lead the development of common strategies in existing and new programs
+ Review quality indicators (FQA/APR Etc...) to drive test enhancements to address the issues
+ Use statistics to analyze data and draw conclusion to resolve issues.
+ Interface with the Assembly & Test Governance/suppliers on the development of future technologies - lead replication of IR technology & review supplier CR/IR activities
+ Interface directly with Product Engineering matched pair to determine measurement locations and methods
+ Work with product engineering to establish Engineering Specification (ES) for test.
+ Work with OEMs to establish best practice for new programs.
+ Interface directly with Data Analytics Operations to develop the machine learning algorithms for the Test System's.
**You'll have...**
+ Minimum BSE in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering - Minimum 10 years of industrial experience
+ At least 6 years experience in functional testing - equipment, statistical methods & problem solving
+ In-depth knowledge of electrification and traditional powertrain system's components and function
+ Demonstrated leadership in executing and implementing advanced projects
+ Experience in all program phases, from pre-program through launch
+ 6 Sigma Black Belt Certified
Recognized 'go-to' person for electrification & traditional powertrain Test concerns
