Engineering Manager (Harrison)
Overview:
Mid-sized precision manufacturing company is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a team of 8 while staying hands-on in mechanical design. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to ownership.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers/designers (mechanical, project, CAD)
- Design and oversee custom machinery (broaching, gear cutting, tooling)
- Partner closely with the shop floor—troubleshoot, improve processes, and drive efficiency
- Review technical drawings (GD&T) and support customer-facing engineering discussions
- Collaborate across production, sales, and project teams
What They’re Looking For:
- 5–12+ years in mechanical engineering within manufacturing
- Strong SolidWorks + CAD design experience
- Hands-on knowledge of machining/CNC/tooling environments
- Proven leadership + team management experience
- Ability to balance strategy + execution
