Schedule:

• Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Two Saturdays per month: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Employees scheduled on Saturday will receive a weekday off during that week

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

A-Line Staffing is seeking a dependable, customer-focused, and career-driven Pharmacy Technician to join the team at in Flint, Michigan. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment where you will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists, assisting patients, and ensuring the efficient delivery of pharmacy services.

We are looking for candidates with 2–3 years of retail pharmacy experience who are passionate about patient care, thrive in a team-oriented environment, and are committed to accuracy, compliance, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, filling, and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
• Receive and process new prescriptions, refill requests, and prescription transfers.
• Enter prescription information into pharmacy management systems while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and prescription benefits to facilitate timely prescription processing.
• Process insurance claims, troubleshoot claim rejections, and assist with prior authorization requests as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient profiles, medication records, and pharmacy documentation.
• Provide outstanding customer service by assisting patients with prescription inquiries, medication pick-up, co-pay information, and general pharmacy questions.
• Communicate effectively with physicians' offices, insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve prescription-related issues.
• Support inventory management by receiving shipments, stocking medications, monitoring expiration dates, and maintaining adequate inventory levels.
• Assist with medication ordering and inventory replenishment activities.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, HIPAA requirements, and company policies.
• Support daily pharmacy workflow and contribute to operational efficiency.
• Perform cashiering duties, collect patient co-pays, and process transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

Required

• Active Michigan Pharmacy Technician License
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Dependable attendance and reliable work ethic

Preferred

• 2–3 years of retail pharmacy experience
• Experience with prescription processing and insurance billing
• Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and HIPAA requirements
• Experience handling prior authorizations and insurance claim resolution
• Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and electronic prescription processing
