Job Title: Test Electrician/Technician

Location: Holland, MI

Shift: 1st Shift

Pay: Up to $40+/hr.

Job Overview:

The Test Technician is responsible for the electrical connection, start-up, testing, and validation of environmental test chambers prior to shipment. This role works closely with engineering and assembly teams to ensure all systems meet design specifications, safety standards, and performance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Connect and verify electrical systems for environmental test chambers using wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering documentation
• Perform start-up and functional testing of chamber systems, including refrigeration, electrical, heating, humidification, and controls
• Validate system performance and identify, troubleshoot, and resolve functional or performance issues prior to shipment
• Collaborate with engineering and assembly teams to diagnose and correct electrical, mechanical, or control-related discrepancies
• Document testing results, including temperatures, voltages, pressures, alarms, and any non-conformances
• Assist with final system calibration and fine-tuning to ensure chambers meet design and customer specifications
• Follow all safety protocols, electrical codes, and testing procedures during testing activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes, efficiency, and product quality

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in electrical, HVAC, or mechanical disciplines preferred
• 2+ years of experience in electrical testing, troubleshooting, or related manufacturing or technical roles
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, refrigeration diagrams, mechanical drawings, and test procedures
• Working knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration systems, and industrial control systems is preferred
• Proficient with electrical testing tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and pressure gauges
• Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment
