Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming is expanding in Connecticut opening a new location at The Shops in Canton on May 2022. We are looking for a professional, motivated, & friendly Retail Sales Associate with previous retail experience to join our pack! Ideal candidate will have great compassion for animals, a strong commitment to customer service, excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

Woof Gang Bakery is a leader in the pet franchise industry providing the very best in pet care. Each Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming location is a neighborhood store, offering gourmet dog treats, healthy pet foods, pet supplies, accessories and pet grooming.

Job Profile:

Location: The Shops at Farmington Valley – Canton, CT

Available to work on weekends

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Ensure customers are being greeted and treated with exceptional courtesy and professionalism, maximizing cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.

Communicate effectively with customers to determine needs

Maintain product shelves and displays properly replenished and organized.

Ensure cash register has available cash for change.

Receive products and update inventory accordingly

Store opening and close operations and management of grooming schedule

Execute daily store operations activities such as answering the phone, check-in and check-out dogs and check-out customers.

Maintain overall store cleanliness and organization.

Actively support securing company assets through effective Loss Prevention in compliance with company policies and procedures

Protect the Woof Gang Bakery brand message and philosophies by maintaining a professional and personal appearance

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

A strong commitment to customer service

Previous retail experience and familiarity with POS systems

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with management, customers, and co-workers

Pet experience preferred

Dog Groomer Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year experience with all breeds

Dog Bathing experience

Stamina to groom several dogs per day

Groom animals utilizing techniques which vary depending on type of hair, coat, breed and owner instructions; bathe and dry animals, perform pedicures, and clean ears

Perform all general maintenance of grooming room: clean cages, tubs, grooming tables, vacuum floor, mop floor daily, empty trash, clean clipper blades, scissors and brushes after use

Recommend retail products that would aid in home grooming care and general wellbeing of pets

Dog Groomer Qualifications:

1 year of Pet Stylist/Pet Grooming experience

Customer Service oriented

Must be familiar with standard cuts for all breeds, including the latest industry trends, as well as using various tools of the trade

Preferred experience in hand scissoring techniques

Must maintain a clean and healthy environment for clients.

Great work ethic, organized and reliable
