About the Role!
The Director Global Accounts Receivable is a key finance leader responsible for driving effective ordertocash processes partnering with global stakeholders to improve AR visibility cash collection and cash application. This role serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for AR reporting & analytics and the Companys AR securitization program with banking partners while ensuring strong internal controls and compliance with US GAAP and SarbanesOxley. The Director leads transformation initiatives including the continued evolution of global AR reporting & visibility cash collection and past-due notice processes and automated cashapplication systems.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Global AR team developing talent and fostering a positive culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Oversee endtoend AR processes including timely collections unapplied cash resolution baddebt governance and reporting & analysis.
- Lead the team that runs the Companys AR securitization program from building and maintaining the reporting & analysis system to delivering compliance results to Treasury and external banking partners.
- Establish and monitor AR KPIs and dashboarding (e.g. DSO unapplied cash AR aging) and deliver actionable insights to finance and business leaders.
- Partner closely with the business FP&A Controllership and Treasury to improve cashflow reporting and forecasting which drives workingcapital optimization.
- Lead the successful deployment and adoption of AR automation initiatives including standardizing global cash application and past-due notice generation.
- Ensure compliance with SOX and internal control requirements; oversee ARrelated account reconciliations and variance analyses.
- Collaborate with Accenture and other servicedelivery partners to optimize BPO performance and strengthen frontend invoicing and remit processes.
- Identify and champion opportunities for process simplification standardization and digital enablement across global AR operations.
- Maintain strong partnerships with external auditors internal stakeholders and business leaders to ensure transparency accuracy and responsiveness.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance with significant exposure to AR and ordertocash processes.
- 5 years of leadership experience managing AR or OTC functions in a global matrixed organization.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP internal controls and SarbanesOxley compliance requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of general ledger and accounting systems.
- Strong background in process improvement and workflow optimization.
- Proficiency in IT and finance systems supporting shared services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Proficiency with Alteryx dataworkflow tool which is leveraged extensively within the Global AR Team.
- Experience with Workday Finance Module.
- Knowledge of the real estate industry and documentation.
