Skilled Nursing Facility Administrator
Position Overview
The Skilled Nursing Administrator is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the Skilled Nursing/Healthcare Center. This role ensures compliance with company policies as well as all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, while maintaining the highest standards of resident care, operational excellence, and customer service.
The Administrator provides leadership, strategic direction, and oversight to ensure the facility operates efficiently, ethically, and in a manner that promotes quality outcomes for residents, staff, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate all programs and services of the Healthcare Center to ensure high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.
Provide overall leadership and direction to department managers, supervisors, staff, and volunteers.
Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as all federal and State of Michigan regulations and standards.
Collaborate closely with other department leaders to promote interdisciplinary teamwork and ensure residents receive optimal care and services.
Assist with the development, management, and oversight of the facility budget, including forecasting, cost control, and financial accountability.
Ensure accurate financial records, reports, and required documentation are prepared and submitted in a timely manner.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained at all times, with qualified and properly trained personnel to meet resident needs.
Oversee human resources functions including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, mentoring, performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, continuous improvement, and resident-centered care.
Qualifications
Must possess a current, valid Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license in the State of Michigan (required).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or administrative role within a healthcare or skilled nursing setting, with a proven track record of successful leadership and operational performance.
Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, and guidelines governing skilled nursing facilities, including personnel administration.
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both professional and non-professional staff.
Proven ability to manage operations, staff, and resources while maintaining regulatory compliance and high-quality outcomes.
