About the Role:
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Cashier to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing high-quality coffee and beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and managing cashier duties in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with POS systems, excellent time management skills, and a passion for the food and beverage industry. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where customer satisfaction is our top priority.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and consistency
- Operate POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide excellent customer service
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change using retail math skills
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation and serving areas
- Assist with food handling, basic food preparation, and ensuring adherence to food safety protocols
- Manage multiple tasks effectively during busy periods through strong time management skills
- Display and restock bread as needed and keep the café environment organized and inviting

Requirements:
- Previous barista experience or background in the food service or coffee industry is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable
- Experience in serving customers in a retail or café setting, demonstrating excellent customer service skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales transactions, and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours while maintaining quality service standards
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or move objects up to 20lbs
