Site Supervisor
NETS International is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Supervisor to oversee daily on-site operations for fiber optics, telecommunications, and infrastructure deployment projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing field teams, ensuring health and safety compliance, maintaining quality control, and driving operational efficiency.
This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure that all work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with company standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities : Task Planning & Allocation • Allocate daily tasks to teams based on the pre-determined work plan.
• Conduct on-site briefings to ensure clarity of roles and expectations before work begins Pre-Work Checklist & Compliance, • Verify all pre-start requirements, including: • Machine and tool condition • Proper earthing • Availability of required materials and tools • PPE compliance for self and team • Review of daily plan and safety protocols Drilling & Utility Verification, • Ensure all drilling activities are executed per plan and engineering guidelines.
• Confirm validity and accuracy of locate tickets prior to starting work.
• Verify potholing and exposure of all underground utilities to prevent service damage.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), • Conduct daily site safety inspections and toolbox talks • Ensure proper placement of safety signage, traffic cones, and parking protocols.
• Emphasize machine loading/unloading safety and promote a safety-first culture.
Site Reporting & Coordination, • Submit a daily street sheet before site operations starts.
• Coordinate and communicate regularly with subcontractors for smooth operations.
Asset & Equipment Management, • Oversee the proper use, maintenance, and security of all site assets, including tools, machines, and materials.
• Ensure timely oil refills and mechanical upkeep of machinery.
Project Monitoring & Review, • Conduct mid-day and end-of-business reviews to track progress and identify bottlenecks.
• Proactively inform clients of any plan changes, damages, or updates as needed.
Performance & Continuous Improvement, • Regularly propose and implement ideas to enhance team efficiency and workflow.
• Conduct daily self-assessments and apply lessons learned to improve future performance.
• Lead by example and delegate responsibilities effectively within the team.
• Follow the client’s SOP • Include ROW and plats • Ensure a clear understanding of the project details Required Skills and Qualifications, : • Proven experience in site supervision, preferably in the IT/telecommunications or construction sector.
• Strong understanding of drilling operations, utility safety, and infrastructure deployment.
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication abilities.
• Working knowledge of HSE practices and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
• Full clean driving license • Valid US driver’s license • Attention to detail • Excellent verbal communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
Education and Experience Requirements, Minimum of two years of related IT/telecommunications experience • Experience working on high volume PSTN frames • Experience with provision of 2wire services, ISDN 2, ISDN 30 • 2Mb circuit provision What We Offer: • Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
