Precision Die Maintenance Specialist

When production ramps up in Grand Rapids, MI, you’re the calm at the center of the action—inspecting critical dies, catching early signs of wear, and restoring tooling to keep lines running smoothly. Your craftsmanship, precision, and problem-solving ensure our manufacturing teams stay on schedule and our quality stays top-tier.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate dies for wear, damage, and performance issues, determining corrective actions.
- Rebuild and repair dies using welding, grinding, and machining techniques.
- Document maintenance and repair activities with accurate, organized records.
- Partner closely with production to minimize downtime and optimize die performance.
- Uphold safety standards and maintain an orderly, well-equipped workspace.
- Contribute to design tweaks and die modifications that boost efficiency and function.
- Stay current on emerging die repair tools, processes, and best practices.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining preferred.
- Hands-on experience as a Die Repair Technician or in a comparable tooling role.
- Deep understanding of die repair methods and associated tooling.
- Proficiency operating lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Sharp troubleshooting, strong attention to detail, and a quality-first mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Clear communication and a strong commitment to safety.
