PLC Programmer – Automotive Manufacturing

We are seeking a highly skilled PLC Programmer with direct body shop and assembly line experience, specifically within Stellantis manufacturing environments . The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Stellantis standards and be capable of developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing programmable logic controller (PLC) systems to support high-efficiency production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program, debug, and maintain PLC systems (primarily Allen-Bradley , Siemens , or Rockwell Automation ) used in automotive body and assembly operations

• Apply expert knowledge of Stellantis manufacturing standards , controls architecture, and safety protocols

• Collaborate with maintenance , controls engineering , and production teams to ensure equipment uptime and process reliability

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to robotic integration , HMI interfaces , and automated systems

• Support system upgrades , line rebalancing, and new model launches across automotive assembly lines

• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions on equipment and software faults

• Document all changes to code and system processes in accordance with Stellantis documentation standards

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in PLC programming within an automotive manufacturing environment

• Strong working knowledge of Stellantis body and assembly line operations

• Proficient in programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley , Siemens , or similar PLC platforms

• Experience with robotic systems (e.g., FANUC , ABB ) and industrial automation

• Familiarity with safety circuits , lockout/tagout procedures , and control panel design

• Ability to interpret electrical schematics , blueprints , and Stellantis controls documentation

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment

• Willingness to work flexible shifts and travel as needed

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Stellantis plant floor systems , including CMMS , SCADA , or MES

• Exposure to networked automation systems , EtherNet/IP , and industrial protocols

• Experience participating in vehicle launch support or plant commissioning projects
