EPIC Health is actively seeking a Board-Certified General Cardiologist to help develop a best-in-class department as we expand our cardiovascular service line across the region. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic, multispecialty medical group focused on offering a full spectrum of cardiac care including:

• Diagnostic testing
• Cardiac catheterizations
• Pacemaker implantation
• Cardiac rehabilitation

Key Responsibilities

• Help shape and expand a department offering comprehensive cardiovascular services.
• Evaluate and treat patients with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic skills.
• Coordinate patient discharges in collaboration with case management teams.
• Accept referrals from other providers and act as admitting, attending, or consulting physician based on patient needs.
• Provide overreads for cardiovascular imaging studies (e.g., ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, nuclear cardiology).
• Participate in both inpatient and outpatient consultations , as well as call schedules.
• Engage in academic programs , including medical education and research initiatives, as needed.
• Document care and services thoroughly to meet payer requirements and proactively manage insurance denials and appeals.
• Participate in efforts to improve care quality, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.

Weekend Rounding

• Weekends: Rounding only until 12 PM , ensuring optimal work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Cardiology
• Active or eligible for a Michigan state medical license
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency and cardiology fellowship
• 15+ years of post-training experience in general cardiology
• Ability to interpret and provide overreads for a wide range of cardiovascular imaging
