Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans and policies.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to optimize cost and quality.
• Manage and evaluate supplier performance, fostering strong vendor relationships.
• Oversee procurement processes, ensuring timely delivery of materials and components.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production to prevent shortages or overstock.

• Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and ethical purchasing practices.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with significant experience in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven negotiation and vendor management skills, including contract development
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and MRO procurement
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma certification or demonstrated experience in process improvement methodologies.
• Proven experience with international sourcing, import/export regulations, and global logistics.
• Advanced proficiency in major ERP/MRP systems for purchasing optimization (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or significant experience leading cross-functional supply chain projects.
