Telemetry RN Job Details – Kalamazoo, MI

• Location: Kalamazoo, MI 49048
• Healthcare Setting: 3N Cardiovascular Unit – Telemetry
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 8, 2025 – December 8, 2025)
• Nursing Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:30)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1770-$1820
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 holidays during the assignment
• Charting System: Cerner Powerchart
• Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Michigan nursing license preferred or willingness to participate in licensure project
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Cardiovascular nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (pending certifications accepted if obtained prior to start)
• Experience with Cerner charting system
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to float to similar units or affiliate hospitals
• Completion of up to 8 hours of pre-start modules (self-reported)

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke, arrhythmias, and chest pain
• Monitor patients on cardiac telemetry and respond to changes in cardiac rhythms
• Administer cardiac drips (no titration) and manage vasoactive medications
• Perform central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, and wound care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
• Float to similar units within the hospital or affiliate hospitals as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner Powerchart
• Participate in rapid response and emergency situations
