Note
This role requires hands-on estimating and project management experience specifically within heavy civil, excavation, and underground utilities. Candidates without relevant construction experience in these areas will not be considered.

Job Description
- Identify project opportunities and prepare accurate, timely estimates for heavy civil, excavating, and underground utility work
- Manage multiple active projects while maintaining quality, safety, schedules, and profitability
- Coordinate crews, equipment, and resources to meet customer deadlines
- Monitor labor, equipment, and accounts payable costs to ensure accurate job costing
- Communicate clearly with foremen and field crews to set expectations and drive accountability
- Respond to customer-driven scope changes and document adjustments to ensure proper compensation
- Partner with finance to support timely billing, vendor payments, and project closeouts
- Build strong working relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and public entities
- Balance office responsibilities with regular field engagement to stay connected to project realities
- Proactively identify process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency
Qualifications
- 3+ years of estimating and project management experience in heavy civil, excavation, or underground utilities
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, surveys, and specifications
- Solid math skills related to estimating, job costing, and project analysis
- Field experience operating or working around heavy equipment preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus, not required
