Administrative Coordinator II (Events)
Under general supervision, the Administrative Coordinator II (Events) provides a full range of event support and administrative assistance across the Events and Media Teams.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
- Supports all phases of conference / education program(s) planning, processing, execution, and post event evaluation. Sample duties include working within software application(s) and other programs to prepare Call for Speakers, manage abstracts, communicate with advisors, speaker, partner, and others.
- Inputs and maintains customer, prospect, speakers, advisors, and stakeholder records / databases.
- Processes exhibit space sales and related tasks in appropriate software applications. Prepares and provides reports as needed.
- Organize correspondence, reports, etc. for review and signature; based on review, provide information and/or compose correspondence.
- Coordinate materials and arranges in-person meetings and virtual meetings, programs, or events.
- Oversee special projects.
- Answer telephone, screen calls, take messages, and make appropriate call dispositions.
- May provide on-site support at events.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years related work experience.
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software; excellent keyboard skills, grammar, and vocabulary skills.
- Excellent organization, time management, human relations, and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of database software.
- Team oriented.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
- Effective written and verbal skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Normal office environment.
- Regular, in-person attendance required.
- Primary office location: Southfield, MI.
- Travel required (10%-25%).
