Nursing Assistant / Cena Training Program

Are you ready to become certified as a Nurse Aide in the state of Michigan? Saint Therese IHM Senior Living is offering the CENA Certification Program and is now accepting applications. If you are at least 18 years of age and looking to become certified as a Nursing Assistant, we welcome you to apply for our program. Limited spots are available.

CENA Certification Program:

1. Dates will be determined
2. 8:00am – 4:30pm (Mandatory participation on all days, no class on Saturday & Sunday).

Earn income ($14.00/hour) while in training and the ability to join our team upon successful completion of the program and exam. Starting pay for CENAs is $17.84/hour once certified, with an immediate opportunity to work. All materials and cost are included within the program so no out of pocket cost to you! Responsibilities:

The Nursing Assistant (CENA) performs a variety of resident related direct care duties, such as recording vital signs, transporting, transferring, toileting, positioning, feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming residents, encouraging highest level of independence, and validating residents' concerns.

Qualifications:

1. Must be 18 years of age at the start of the program.
2. Ability to meet the physical demands of position, including lifting over 50 lbs. while transferring a resident.
3. Dependability, with the ability to follow direction.
4. Maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
