Lead Aesthetic Injector and Team Developer

Legacy Dermatology Group
Waterford, MI

Job Description

Job Description

Position Summary

We are in search of a licensed clinical leader (MD, DO, RN, PA) who owns the day-to-day operation, growth, and performance of Legacy Dermatology’s aesthetic division and has the opportunity to develop aesthetic clientel as a provider.

This is a dual role: the Lead is accountable for the productivity, standards, and development of the entire aesthetic team and performs his or her own aesthetic treatments. The Lead serves as the Medical Director’s operational right hand - translating the practice’s vision into protocols, accountability, and revenue, so that the aesthetic

division runs and grows without requiring the Medical Director’s constant oversight.

This role exists to solve a specific problem: the aesthetic team needs dedicated,

incentivized leadership focused on building clientele, capturing missed opportunities, supervising downtime

and operating to a consistent standard.

Reports to: Owner / Medical Director

Supervises: Aesthetic providers and aestheticians (clinical oversight, scheduling, performance, and development) Status: Full-time

Core Job Duties

1. Grow the division. Own aesthetic revenue growth across both sites — personal

production, team production, retention, and membership.

2. Lead the team. Set expectations, hold providers accountable to production and

service standards, and develop each provider’s book of business.

3. Standardize operations. Own consents, scheduling protocols, and procedural

workflows so the division runs cleanly and compliantly.

4. Protect quality and safety. Oversee aesthetic procedures and ensure every

provider works to consistent clinical, documentation, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Division Growth & Business Development

  • Own the aesthetic division’s revenue targets and build a quarterly plan to hit them across both locations.
  • Drive each provider to actively build their own clientele — rebooking at the chair, treatment planning, and consult-to-treatment conversion.
  • Identify and close missed-revenue gaps: unbooked consult follow-ups, lapsed patients, single-service patients who should be on a plan, and untreated cross-sell opportunities from the medical side.
  • Champion the Fresh Face Club membership program — conversion at point of service, retention, and member experience.
  • Partner with marketing on in-office events, promotions, and content that fills the schedule.
  • Track device and service ROI (injectables, energy-based devices) and recommend pricing, packaging, and capacity decisions to the Medical Director.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Directly supervise aesthetic providers and aestheticians day to day.
  • Set and enforce individual production expectations for each provider, with regular one-on-ones and a clear cadence of performance review.
  • Coach providers on consultation skills, treatment planning, rebooking, and converting hesitant patients — the skills that build a book.
  • Onboard and train new aesthetic hires to practice standards.
  • Build and maintain the team schedule for appropriate coverage, utilization, and provider productivity across both sites.
  • Surface personnel issues early and partner with the Medical Director / office manager on corrective action when needed.

Clinical & Procedural Oversight

  • Oversee aesthetic procedures to ensure consistent technique, safety, and outcomes
    across all providers.
  • Maintain and update treatment protocols, pre/post-care instructions, and standing orders in coordination with the Medical Director.
  • Ensure every provider documents thoroughly and consistently, with appropriate consent on file before treatment.
  • Monitor adverse events / complications, ensure proper response and escalation, and report trends to the Medical Director.
  • Stay current on aesthetic techniques, devices, and products; vet new offerings and lead rollout when adopted.

Operations, Protocols & Compliance - With Medical Director help

  • Rewrite and own all aesthetic consents — accurate, current, legally sound, and consistent across services and both sites; keep them maintained as offerings change.
  • Rewrite and own scheduling protocols for the aesthetic division — appointment types, durations, provider matching, buffer/turnover, consult booking, and rebooking standards — and ensure the front desk and providers follow them.
  • Standardize intake, photography, and treatment-record workflows.
  • Ensure aesthetic operations align with the practice’s clinical, privacy (HIPAA), and licensure requirements; work within each provider’s scope and Michigan delegation rules.
  • Maintain product/inventory oversight for the aesthetic division in coordination with the office manager.

Patient Experience & Retention

  • Own the aesthetic patient journey end to end — consult through follow-up — to the practice’s brand standard (“Sunshine, Smiles & SPF”).
  • Drive rebooking and retention metrics across the team.
  • Handle escalated patient concerns and service recovery for the division.

Performace Metrics

  • The Lead is measured on outcomes, not just personal production
  • Each provider’s individual production vs. their set expectation
  • Rebooking rate and patient retention (team-wide)
  • Consult-to-treatment conversion rate
  • Fresh Face Club membership conversions and retention
  • New aesthetic patient volume and cross-referrals from the medical side
  • Chair / device utilization

Compensation & Incentive Structure (Framework)

The structure is intentionally built so the Lead is rewarded for growing the whole

division and developing the team — not only their own book. Set specific numbers

against your financials; the components are:

1. Base salary — reflecting elevated leadership responsibility and guaranteed

regardless of variable performance.

2. Personal production incentive — a percentage of the Lead’s personal aesthetic

collections above a defined threshold.

3. Division growth bonus — a quarterly bonus tied to total aesthetic division revenue

hitting/exceeding target (this is the primary lever that aligns the Lead with overall

growth).

4. Team development incentive — a bonus or small override tied to the team’s

incremental production and to team-wide rebooking / membership targets, so the

Lead is paid to make every provider more productive.

5. Retention / membership bonus — tied to Fresh Face Club conversions and

rebooking benchmarks.

Design principle: the largest upside should come from #3 and #4, so the Lead’s

financial interest is inseparable from the division’s overall growth and the team’s

success.

Qualifications

  1. Active, unrestricted license to perform aesthetic services in Michigan (RN, MD, DO, NP, PA, or other qualified provider as appropriate to the services delegated).
  2. Demonstrated experience as a high-producing aesthetic injector / provider
  3. Prior team lead, trainer, or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  4. Working knowledge of injectables and energy-based devices.
  5. Business-minded: comfortable with production goals, KPIs, scheduling/utilization and accountability conversations.
  6. Strong communication and coaching ability; able to hold peers accountable while keeping morale high.
  7. Detail-oriented with consents, documentation, and protocol compliance.
  8. Able to lead within our current culture, support staff, and respect for current team.
