Subject Matter Expert - Computer Networking

Summary:

The SME – Computer Networking is responsible for working with the EVP, Learning & Innovation to create a “stack” of programs in the field of Computer Networking. At Bryan University, stackable programs are designed to support progress by enabling students to start with a certificate and continue toward an associate degree and eventually a bachelor’s degree.

The Subject Matter Expert for Computer Networking will design a comprehensive educational stack consisting of a certificate, associate, and bachelor’s degree, with relevant microcredentials. This individual will collaborate with academic leaders, industry partners, and workforce agencies, as needed, to ensure offerings align with employer demand, credentialing standards, and learner mobility across computer networking professions.

The Computer Networking SME will:

• Utilizing market research, map progressive, stackable educational pathways for computer networking occupations.
• Integrate credit and non-credit programs into a coherent framework that allows learners to “step in and step out” while advancing their credentials.
• Propose an outline of courses that include a certificate, associates, and bachelor’s degree with related microcredentials that provide upskilling opportunities.
• Document 3-5 vital skills, including the sources, for each offering proposed in the stack.

Experience:

• Direct industry experience in Computer Networking, with an understanding of entry-level positions through more experienced roles.
• Computer Networking education experience a plus.

Pay:

• $3000 initial contract with additional potential
