IT Business Systems Analyst
Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Business Systems Analyst in Kalamazoo, MI. Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):
- IT Business Systems Analyst will collect and document business requirements through interviews, workshops, and system observations
- Evaluate business processes, workflows, and data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
- Partner with business units to define requirements and design technology solutions that meet organizational needs
- Translate business needs into functional specifications for technical teams
- Conduct process mapping and gap analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide advanced application support, troubleshooting complex issues, and resolving user-reported problems
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and work with development teams for permanent resolution
- Assist with deployment of application updates, patches, and new releases, minimizing operational disruption
- Monitor application performance, conduct system health checks, and maintain optimal functioning
- As an IT Business Systems Analyst, you will support user training and create documentation to enable full utilization of applications
- Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders on application issues and enhancements
- Collaborate with support teams to improve first-response resolution of application issues
- Provide Tier 3 escalation support for all critical application issues
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours application support as needed
- Contribute to enterprise technology planning, decisions, and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards for business applications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, application support, or other IT systems roles
- Proven experience gathering and documenting business requirements and collaborating with both technical teams and business stakeholders
- Hands-on experience supporting critical business applications, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with development teams for solutions
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar approaches
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively across business units, IT teams, and external partners
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accurate documentation and thorough troubleshooting
- Adaptable and quick to learn new technologies and business processes
