Safe, secure, and engaging solutions that benefit communities and meet player needs. **Responsibilities** Building Bright Futures! Brightstar seeks a Lottery Field Services Technician in Flint, MI. The Field Service Technician is responsible for maintaining and servicing Brightstar equipment at Retailer (customer) locations. Responds to dispatches and drives to customer locations within a specified "zone" to deliver supplies and to install, remove, or repair lottery equipment and communication devices. + Responsible for transporting, installing (if applicable), and maintaining Brightstar equipment, replacement parts, tools, and other equipment in an organized and structured manner. + Attend driver training and follow Brightstar vehicle policy regarding the use and maintenance of the company vehicle. + Maintain equipment to promote the continuous operation of Brightstar equipment. + Troubleshoot to restore malfunctioning equipment to working order in the field. This may include swapping failed equipment, cleaning, and/or minor adjusting of the malfunctioning component. + Communicate effectively and efficiently with Dispatchers. Accurately report activity, arrival and departure times, problems, details, and resolutions of failures to Dispatch. + Deliver marketing supplies and consumable items, such as paper, ribbons, and betslips, and track their inventory. + Deliver basic training to new Retailers or refresher/remedial training to Retailers who may be performing procedures incorrectly, such as changing paper and ribbon. + Complete basic forms for reporting activities, equipment problems, recommendations for improvements to procedures, etc. **Building Bright Futures** Brightstar employees receive the following employment benefits (all benefits mentioned are subject to policy and eligibility requirements): + Company vehicle to take home for work use only (Field Services only, depending on location) + Medical benefits on day one of being a Brightstar employee + 12 paid holidays plus two floating holidays per year (new hires will receive floating holidays on a pro-rated basis according to their start date) + 3 weeks of paid vacation (accrued) per year, prorated first year + Accrued sick time + 401 (k) with employer match and 100% vested on day one + Company-paid parental leave, life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability + $500 sign-on bonus **Qualifications** + High school degree or GED equivalent required. + 1 or more years of experience in a customer service-related position + 1 or more years of experience in technical repairs + Must possess a valid driver's license, have a good driving record, and demonstrate the ability to perceive colors correctly. + Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb a ladder, lift and carry equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds for a significant distance (e.g., from a parked vehicle to a point within the Retailer's location or to the rooftop of the retailer's location). Must be able to sit and drive for prolonged periods of time, demonstrate dexterity when working with tools, and work with moving parts and electrical current. May work at heights (rooftop) for installation of equipment, work in close quarters, and/or be exposed to inclement weather during some installations. **Keys to Success** - Building collaborative relationships - Decision making - Drive results - Foster innovation - Personal energy - Self-leadership LI-LF1 At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $17.45-$23.27. The actual pay offered may be higher or lower. The Company complies with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable. Base pay is one part of our Total Rewards program. Non-exempt roles are eligible for irregular discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements. All Brightstar employees have a role in information security. Annual training will be assigned and required as appropriate.
