Parts Counter Sales
Position Summary
Kings Equipment – Kubota of Jackson is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Parts Counter Salesperson to support our customers and service department. This position plays a critical role in providing timely, accurate parts support for Kubota equipment and related product lines while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
The ideal candidate is organized, mechanically inclined, and enjoys working in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Sales Support
Assist walk-in, phone, text and email customers with parts inquiries and purchases
Identify correct parts using manufacturer catalogs, diagrams, and dealer management systems
Recommend parts, accessories, fluids, and maintenance items based on customer needs
Provide accurate pricing, availability, and lead times
Service Department Support
Pull, stage, and issue parts for internal service technicians
Coordinate special orders and communicate status updates to service staff
Ensure parts are available to support efficient shop workflow
Inventory & Operations
Receive, stock, and organize incoming parts shipments
Maintain clean, accurate, and well-organized parts displays and storage areas
Assist with cycle counts, inventory control, and reconciliation
Process returns, warranty parts, and core returns according to manufacturer policies
Administrative & System Tasks
Enter and process parts sales, invoices, and credits accurately
Maintain customer and equipment records as required
Follow dealership procedures and manufacturer guidelines
Qualifications & Skills
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong customer service and communication skills
Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment systems
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
Computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership software
Preferred
Previous parts counter or dealership experience
Familiarity with Kubota or agricultural/construction equipment
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance
Occasional bending, reaching, and walking throughout the parts department
