Premier Gastroenterology Opportunity in Michigan- Great Compensation and Work Life Balance (Grand Rapids)

A large integrated academic health system in Michigan is excited to welcome a BC/ BE Gastroenterologist to their well-established and growing program in Grand Rapids, MI. The incoming GI will join the team at their flagship hospital. As the largest healthcare system in Michigan, they are a clinical leader in cardiovascular, cancer, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, neurosciences, trauma and emergency care services, among many others.

Hospital Highlights:

1. 1000-bed Flagship hospital
2. Level 1 trauma center
3. Strong Research ties with local Research Institute.
4. Specialized programs in IBD, Interventional Endoscopy, and Hepatology.

Position Highlights:

1. General GI, IBD, Hepatology, Motility, any subspecialty can be supported
2. High-volume GI practice within a regional referral center. Teaching and research available, but not required.
3. Join a collegial group of 18 physicians and 15 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Strong relationship with Ancillary services and well supported.
4. 10-room ambulatory surgery center (ASC) for general endoscopy. Two Hospital-Based endoscopy units with rooms for general and interventional endoscopy
5. Call Schedule: 1:5 weeks with hospital coverage shared by 3 physicians per week between 2 hospitals (less than 15 mins apart)
6. Can be flexible with OP work, endoscopy and office days. Leveraging advanced AI technology to streamline administrative tasks and enhance efficiency for physicians.
7. Well above average base salary + RVU structure. Physicians can be as productive as they want, while offering flexibility in scheduling and ample ramp up time.
8. Additional benefits include: $50k signing bonus, relocation assistance, malpractice and health/ disability /dental/ life insurance. Paid time off for vacation, CME allowance, parental leave.
