Finance Controller
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Finance Controller in Grand Rapids, MI. Duties:
- Finance Controller will collaborate with project managers to drive the financial success of active projects
- Assist with preparation, analysis, and reporting of project forecasts
- Challenge project teams constructively to identify risks, quantify potential impacts, and recommend mitigation strategies
- Oversee and validate project financial projections (Estimates at Completion), ensuring all variances are clearly documented with root-cause explanations
- Review contract terms and monitor performance to strengthen financial results, including supporting change order and scope-adjustment processes
- As a Finance Controller, you will manage project working capital, focusing on healthy cash flow and timely financial transactions
- Present monthly financial performance updates to senior project leadership and develop accompanying dashboards or management reports
- Lead weekly update sessions with project managers to ensure forecast accuracy and timely submission of required information
- Minimum of a 4-year Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of experience in either a projects business or manufacturing plant (preferred)
- Strong sense of ownership & accountability - with demonstrated ability to deliver success whilst working with an operational business partner
- Strong demonstrated use of SAP (or equivalent ERP), Excel, and PowerPoint
