Production Packer (Night Shift)

Location: Jackson, MI 49203
Shift: 6 PM – 6 AM (12-Hour) / rotational 2-2-3 shift pattern. Will work every other weekend.
Pay rate: 19$ per hour

Qualifications

• Education & experience: HS diploma or GED required and 1+ year of relevant manufacturing experience.

  Physical: Lift up to 60 lbs unassisted; frequent standing, bending, repetitive motion, and extensive hacksaw use.

• Environment: Industrial plant (heat, noise, dust, chemical odors); 8–12+ hour shifts.

• Safety: Strict adherence to safety protocols and PPE required.

Responsibilities

• Inspection & Quality: Visually inspect siding for defects; alert operators of issues.

• Packaging & Setup: Assemble/glue/label boxes, assist with line set-up, pack products, and strap skids.

• Operations: Maintain line housekeeping, restock glue, train new packers, and support shift leaders.

Schedule Note:
Orientation may be 7 AM – 4 PM for the first 3 days. Training may occur on days before moving to the permanent 6 PM – 6 AM night shift.
