The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory targets.
• Balance production capacity with demand to optimize resource utilization and meet customer delivery dates.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, production, procurement, and logistics to ensure schedule feasibility and alignment.
• Monitor inventory levels of finished goods and key components, adjusting schedules to prevent stockouts or overstock.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks to maintain production flow.
• Analyze forecast accuracy and adjust the MPS accordingly to minimize disruptions and optimize inventory.
• Communicate schedule changes, potential risks, and performance metrics to relevant stakeholders.

Recommended Qualifications

• Extensive experience (5+ years) in master scheduling or production planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for production planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
• Demonstrated ability in demand forecasting, capacity planning, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for data interpretation and decision-making.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to coordinate across multiple departments (e.g., production, sales, procurement).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) systems (e.g., SAP APO, Kinaxis, OMP).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• APICS CSCP certification.
