Blanchard Grinder Responsibilities & Duties:

• Ability to operate a traditional Blanchard-style Grinder, or
• Ability to operate Vertical Spindle with Reciprocating Table & Magnetic Chucks.
• Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches.
• Monitor the grinding process.
• Perform and document In-Process Inspection & Deburring.
• Move parts and paperwork to the next stage of production.
• Maintain work areas and equipment.

Blanchard Grinder Qualifications & Skills:

• Apprentice Position: 0-3 years
• Experienced Grinder: 3-5 years
• Semi-Finish Grinding Operations using abrasive segments, setups, de-twisting, etc.
• Mechanical aptitude with a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Critical thinking and a drive for problem-solving.
• A positive and a proactive mindset.
• Ability to read and interpret documents including blueprints and sketches.
• Ability to read inspection equipment & tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Etc).
• Experience with operating Cranes and/or Forklifts.
• A strong work ethic with availability to work weekends and overtime as needed.

Surface Grinder (Horizontal Spindle) Responsibilities & Duties:

• Ability to operate Surface Grinders such as Mattison, Thompson, & Danobat.
• Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches.
• Monitor the grinding process.
• Perform and document In-Process Inspection & Deburring.
• Move parts and paperwork to the next stage of production.
• Maintain work areas and equipment.

Surface Grinder (Horizontal Spindle) Qualifications & Skills:

• Prefer 5-15 years of experience in an active Surface Grinding Role.
• Finish Grinding Operations using abrasive segments, setups, de-twisting, etc.
• Mechanical aptitude with a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Critical thinking and a drive for problem-solving.
• A positive and a proactive mindset.
• Ability to read and interpret documents including blueprints and sketches.
• Ability to read inspection equipment & tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Etc).
• Experience with operating Cranes and/or Forklifts.
