About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Riverside Healthcare Center, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care within a dynamic healthcare environment. Your primary focus will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout their treatment journey. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans that meet both medical and emotional needs. This role demands a compassionate approach, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to respond effectively to changing patient conditions. Ultimately, your contributions will directly impact patient outcomes and the overall quality of care provided at Riverside Healthcare Center.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in acute or long-term care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Advanced certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare team environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Previous experience in a business services or healthcare administration setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patient responses.
- Coordinate with healthcare team members to develop and update individualized care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, treatments, and discharge planning.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and infection control standards.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and staff training programs.
Skills:
The required skills enable the RN to perform thorough patient assessments, administer treatments safely, and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members. Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking are essential for responding to patient needs and emergencies promptly. Preferred skills such as proficiency with electronic health records enhance documentation accuracy and streamline care coordination. Advanced certifications support the nurse in managing complex clinical situations with confidence.
