Sr. Designer - Michigan
About the Role:
As a Sr. Designer, you'll handle project management responsibilities for a variety of complex projects or project
teams, including client contact, scheduling, and budgeting.
This job is part of the Design function. They are responsible for preparing and producing proposals and planning applications for internal and external partners.
The person is required to be onsite hyrbid in Dearborn, MI and travel about 25% of the time.
What You'll Do:

Work with large and high-profile clients to establish goals, objectives, and quality expectations.

Maintain communication and positive relationships with the client, Sr. consultants, and team members.

Oversee all documenting, construction, programming, and contract administration phases.

Develop complex proposals, schedules, and fees with internal teams.
-
Track financial performance and preparation of complicated consultant agreements.
-
Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.

Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.

Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.

Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

What You'll Need:

Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of

experience and education will be considered.

AutoCAD and Sketchup
-
Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.

Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Additional Details:

Industrial experience - walk and be on the floor in manufacturing plants weekly

Enhanced license/passport required for work in Canada

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

AD/CAFM Associate's Degree (AA/AS), Diploma in Architectural Technology or AutoCAD or equivalent preferred.

Minimum four years of related experience.

CAD/CAFM Architectural Technologist/Interior Designer AATO/ARIDO/DC preferred.

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
-
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.

Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.

Knowledge or experience in construction, architecture, and/or facilities management is helpful

Understanding of existing procedures and standards to tackle slightly sophisticated problems.

Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.

Solid understanding of Tririga Portfolio, Lease, Space, and CAD Integrator modules (user level)

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the IWMS Specialist position is $80,000 annually [or $38.46 per hour] and the maximum salary for the IWMS Specialist position is $90,000 annually [or $43.26 per hour]. The compensation yield to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience.
