Plumbing Estimator:

Michigan Mechanical Ventures is a fast-growing contractor in Southeast Michigan looking to add talented and driven individuals to our team. We are a Family-owned Plumbing/HVAC company focused primarily on commercial service and new construction looking for a full-time Commercial Plumbing Estimator to join our team. You will be a key player in our project success, responsible for accurately calculating the costs for large-scale plumbing projects, from new installations to system upgrades and repairs. We need a detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background in commercial plumbing and a sharp analytical mind.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for large commercial plumbing projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, project specifications, and other technical documents to determine the full scope of work.
• Solicit and evaluate quotes from material suppliers and subcontractors.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates meet all project requirements and budgets.
• Maintain a database of current material costs, labor rates, and historical project data.
• Identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities during the bidding process.
• Present and explain estimates to management and clients.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Plumbing Estimator or in a similar role, specifically with commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, codes, and installation methods.
• Proficiency with estimating software (such as Trimble, Planswift, or Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• A relevant degree, certification, or extensive field experience is a plus.
