Material Coordinator

Blue Chip Talent , in partnership with a manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Material Coordinator . This role is responsible for coordinating inventory kitting, picking and issuing materials to assembly work centers, and reconciling returned materials to maintain accurate inventory records. The Material Coordinator also supports production flow by resolving material discrepancies and ensuring materials are organized, available, and aligned to build requirements.

Job Duties

• Review material demand using pick lists and bills of process to identify kit requirements
• Pick and issue materials to assembly work centers to support same-day production needs
• Return materials accurately to inventory and reconcile inventory transactions in the ERP system
• Process incoming inspected material into kits based on the bill of process
• Organize and deliver materials across multiple work centers simultaneously
• Scan and verify kitted materials against manufacturing requirements and current build documentation
• Create and manage jobs within the kitting and job management system
• Identify and help resolve material discrepancies including shortages, incorrect quantities, and location issues

Skills & Experience

Required

• High school diploma or GED
• Hands-on experience with inventory kitting, material picking, and issuing in a manufacturing environment
• Experience resolving material discrepancies such as shortages, incorrect quantities, and inventory mismatches
• Working knowledge of inventory management and MRP/ERP systems
• Experience using Plex or a similar manufacturing ERP platform
• Ability to create labels, manage inventory moves, and perform split/merge container transactions in Plex
• Experience maintaining accurate inventory records and material traceability
• Forklift experience, including propane or electric stand-up forklift operation

Desired

• Experience supporting prototype or high-demand assembly environments
• Experience with bill of process operation numbering in a manufacturing system
• Familiarity with material receiving and inventory modules in additional ERP platforms
• Experience using Teamcenter or similar digital work instruction and product lifecycle systems
• Experience with non-conformance tracking software
• Familiarity with mobile ERP tools and user access/role management
• Higher education degree in supply chain, manufacturing, or a related field
