Landscape Foreman - Private Estate
ABOUT THE JOB
We're hiring a Landscape Foreman. Someone who can lead a crew and outwork them. Someone who runs the project and runs the skid steer. The real thing.
You'll be managing landscape crews and working alongside renowned landscape and architectural designers to create unforgettable outdoor environments.
This is direct-for-owner work across our properties — a 7-acre Bloomfield Hills estate, an innovation lab, and a one-of-a-kind lake house. No clients, no account managers, no production routes between you and the work.
If you're tired of production work and bouncing from client to client and are looking to be inspired, challenged and leave work every day knowing you did the best work of your life, you've come to the right place.
You will be equipped with millions of dollars of the best vehicles, equipment and tools you can imagine to create world-class landscapes that move people. You will truly have access to it all — we'll arm you with whatever you need to create the baddest landscapes of your life.
This isn't a place for people who phone it in. The bar is high, the work is hard, and the standard isn't negotiable.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO
Run the work
- High-end plantings — boxwood, privacy hedges, specialty installs
- Lead seasonal plantings and decor displays across the properties
- Grading, landforming, and drainage done right the first time
- Tree planting and removals
- Patio prep and install
- Sod installation and repair, ongoing property maintenance
- Hold the finish standard and catch problems before they become emergencies
- Lend a hand on light construction projects during cooler months when needed
Run the crew
- Lead a small in-house team day to day
- Move the crew across our four properties based on what each one needs that week
- Coordinate outside subcontractors and specialty vendors when projects call for it
- Communicate clearly with ownership on progress, priorities, and problems
- Keep momentum without needing to be chased
Run the equipment
- Operate and maintain skid steers, mini-excavators, loaders, trailers, and trucks
- Manage service schedules and keep machines ready
- Keep tools, vehicles, and jobsites organized
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience working on high-end estates or golf courses.
- Commercial Driver's License (preferred) and reputable driving record.
- Experience with heavy equipment including front end loaders, mini-excavators, and skid steer machinery with various attachments; other construction equipment as needed.
THIS JOB ISN'T FOR YOU IF...
- You've got a mow-and-blow mentality
- You need a supervisor over your shoulder to get things done
- You can lead but won't get your hands dirty
- You can swing a shovel but freeze when a crew needs direction
- You create more management overhead than you eliminate
BENEFITS & PERKS
- Top of market pay; $30–45/hr depending on experience, with room to go higher for the right operator. Full benefits package including health, dental and 401k.
- Year-round OR seasonal work. If you are willing to expand your skill set, we can keep you busy all year.
- Meaningful work. This is not just a job. You can find a job anywhere. This is a place for the bold to get paid to give a sh*t and make a real impact.
- Learn more here than any place on earth. We make sure you never stop growing.
- Daily catered lunches. We cater lunches and make sure our crew stays fueled.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our parent company is a thriving technology group with no debt that's been focused on changing the world through radical innovation for over 20 years. We were sick of ordinary landscape companies that don't give a sh*t — so we created our own.
If you're the operator we're describing, you already know it. Apply.
