Team Lead Cleaner – Traverse City Area
Position Summary
The Team Lead Cleaner is responsible for ensuring vacation rental properties are cleaned, stocked, inspected, and guest-ready according to company standards. This position requires leadership, problem-solving, flexibility, and a willingness to assist with operational needs that support the success of the business.
The Team Lead serves as the primary point of contact for cleaning teams in their assigned area and is expected to lead by example while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Cleaning & Property Readiness
- Perform and assist with cleaning vacation rental properties.
- Ensure all properties meet company cleanliness and quality standards.
- Complete property inspections before guest arrivals.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, missing items, or safety concerns promptly.
- Restock supplies and inventory as needed.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead and support cleaning team members.
- Train new employees on company procedures and standards.
- Provide guidance and assistance when issues arise.
- Help ensure team members are completing assignments efficiently and correctly.
- Maintain professional communication with management and staff.
Operational Support
- Assist with laundry coordination and transportation when necessary.
- Pick up, transport, or dispose of trash when needed.
- Deliver supplies, linens, equipment, or inventory between properties.
- Assist with emergency or last-minute operational needs.
- Help solve problems that may impact guest experiences or company operations.
Communication
- Maintain timely communication with management.
- Report staffing concerns, property issues, and supply shortages.
- Respond professionally to questions and requests related to assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Previous residential, commercial, or vacation rental cleaning experience preferred.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions.
- Dependable, organized, and professional.

Compensation
Compensation and reimbursement for additional responsibilities will be determined by management and may vary based on the task, distance traveled, and business needs.
