Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, verification, and preventative maintenance on a wide range of measurement equipment and gages.
• Operate, program, and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other advanced metrology systems.
• Conduct precise dimensional inspections of manufactured components, raw materials, and finished products.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
• Maintain accurate calibration records, documentation, and a comprehensive measurement system database.
• Analyze measurement data, identify trends, and provide detailed inspection reports and feedback to engineering and production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to measurement equipment, inspection processes, and part conformance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Metrology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality or metrology lab environment.
• Proficiency in using a wide range of precision measurement tools, including CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with CMM programming and operation software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience programming automated measurement equipment (e.g., CMMs, vision systems).
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for advanced data interpretation.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
• Familiarity with CAD software for model-based definition (MBD) interpretation.
