Job Title: Recall Purchasing Specialist

Job Description

As a Recall Purchasing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the organization. You will lead commercial negotiations for FSA programs, manage critical supply issues, and oversee material costs related to Recall Programs. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will identify areas for process and cost improvements, support supplier management strategies, and ensure adherence to company standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial negotiations for FSA programs.

• Manage material costs and critical supply issues related to Recall Programs.

• Execute timely Recall launch plans.

• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.

• Mitigate supplier cost uplift requests.

• Drive improvements in service supply.

• Ensure superior delivery performance from our supply base.

• Support adherence to supplier quality process requirements.

• Execute timely new part sourcing.

• Lead supplier management and engagement.

• Implement Recall Process Improvements.

• Collaborate with various departments including marketing, sales, supply chain, engineering, implementation, and finance to ensure process improvements align with company objectives.

• Link with other functional areas to ensure timely launch of Recall Programs.

• Review Supplier shipping plans with the Supply Chain to identify delivery opportunities aligned with the Program Implementation Plan.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree.

• 3+ years of experience in purchasing or a related field.

• Proven track record of managing complex programs.

• Excellent project management skills to optimize costs.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.

• Critical thinking skills for analysis and problem-solving.

• Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.

• Multitasking capabilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with purchasing, procurement, and purchase orders.

• Proficiency in supply chain management, ERP, SAP, and MRP systems.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Allen Park, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $43.00/hr.
