We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Manistee that are seeking skilled HR Generalists. Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for manufacturing, skilled trades, and administrative roles, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Provide employee relations support, conducting investigations, mediating disputes, and advising on disciplinary actions for plant personnel.
• Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company regulations, particularly those impacting production staff.
• Coordinate and deliver HR-related training, including new hire orientation, safety training, and professional development programs for manufacturing employees.
• Support performance management processes, assisting supervisors with goal setting, performance reviews, and corrective action plans for the factory workforce.
• Oversee HR data management and reporting using the HRIS, ensuring accuracy of employee records for payroll and compliance purposes.
• Collaborate with EHS department to promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven HR Generalist experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including relevant OSHA regulations.
• Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
• Experience with full-cycle recruitment for production and skilled trade positions.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and payroll processing.

Bonus Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish)
• Familiarity with HRIS and timekeeping systems common in manufacturing environments
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices in a production setting
