Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 2nd Shift Maintenance Lead to join our team. This role involves handling both emergency and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure smooth production operations. The position is for the 2nd shift, from 3pm to 11pm, with a 30-minute lunch break. You can expect to work about an hour of overtime daily and every other Saturday, with overtime compensated at time and a half.
Responsibilities
- Handle emergency and preventative maintenance tasks to keep production running smoothly.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on equipment such as baggers, pipes, augers, conveyor belts, food fillers, sealers, freezers, and ink jet printers.
- Work directly with hydraulics and pneumatics, including repairing cylinders and solenoids, and using blueprints to identify line placements.
- Cover and resolve electrical issues, with a focus on maintaining production equipment.
- Ensure mechanical and physical integrity of production equipment to reduce downtime.
- Complete preventative maintenance measures in a timely manner.
- Assist mechanics with machine repair and equipment troubleshooting.
- Support 1st shift production departments with timely setups.
- Use maintenance shop equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Essential Skills
- Experience repairing hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Industrial maintenance experience with conveyors.
- Strong skills in electrical repairs and troubleshooting 480volt/3phase systems.
- Positive attitude and team mentality.
- Excellent attendance and reliability.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Food manufacturing maintenance experience is a plus.
- Additional PLC experience is advantageous.

Work Environment
Our food manufacturing facility is one of five in the area, employing over 500 people. We produce and package frozen food products for grocery stores nationwide. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and complies with FDA requirements. It spans around 400,000 square feet, with 80% temperature-controlled at 55 degrees. Coolers are set at 35 degrees, and freezers range from 0 to -10 degrees. Standard steel-toed boots are required. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $67600.00/yr.
