Drive engineering decisions by balancing performance, cost, weight, and timing
Conduct design analysis and validate designs through testing and development activities
Collaborate cross-functionally with design studio, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and suppliers
Support prototype builds, vehicle integration, and production launch activities
Identify and implement product improvements and cost reduction opportunities
Ensure components meet GM technical standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations
Communicate complex technical topics clearly to leadership and stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
2+ years of engineering experience in product development or design
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Body/Chassis structure components or related systems
Knowledge of DFMEA, GD&T, and Design for Six Sigma methodologies
Familiarity with advanced materials (e.g., high-strength steel, alloys) and manufacturing processes
Understanding of FMVSS crash and regulatory requirements
Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
Why Join GM
Work on cutting-edge vehicle programs that reach customers globally
Gain end-to-end product ownership and exposure to full vehicle development cycles
