We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Coordinator. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with numbers, and is passionate about maintaining financial accuracy and operational efficiency. You’ll play a key role in supporting our accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cash reviews and reconcile counter sales.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and payment tracking.

• Prepare and review sales tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

• Monitor and reconcile credit card expenses and follow up on receipts.

• Post invoices, run checks, and manage monthly payments (e.g., janitorial services).

• Oversee supply ordering, inventory tracking, and AR collections.

• Collaborate with builders and vendors to resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain accurate records in accounting systems and Excel spreadsheets.

• Support month-end close processes and assist with financial reporting.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a coordinator or staff accountant role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formatting).

• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Great Plains, QuickBooks, or similar).

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• High integrity, self-motivated, and able to work independently.

• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Adobe PDF editing tools (e.g., Foxit).

• Familiarity with positive pay/safe pay banking processes.

• Ability to build relationships with internal teams and external clients.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $26.00 per hour
