We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Coordinator. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with numbers, and is passionate about maintaining financial accuracy and operational efficiency. You’ll play a key role in supporting our accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily cash reviews and reconcile counter sales.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
Prepare and review sales tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Monitor and reconcile credit card expenses and follow up on receipts.
Post invoices, run checks, and manage monthly payments (e.g., janitorial services).
Oversee supply ordering, inventory tracking, and AR collections.
Collaborate with builders and vendors to resolve discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records in accounting systems and Excel spreadsheets.
Support month-end close processes and assist with financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a coordinator or staff accountant role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formatting).
Experience with accounting software (e.g., Great Plains, QuickBooks, or similar).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
High integrity, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Adobe PDF editing tools (e.g., Foxit).
Familiarity with positive pay/safe pay banking processes.
Ability to build relationships with internal teams and external clients.
