This is a full-time, on-site Service Technician role based in Livonia, MI. The Service Technician will install, maintain, and repair office equipment, with a primary focus on Sharp devices and related technology solutions such as Kyocera, Konica Minolta and Epson. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing technical issues, performing preventative maintenance, completing field service calls, and ensuring equipment operates efficiently and reliably. The role involves interacting directly with clients to explain service work, provide basic user training, and ensure a positive service experience. The Service Technician will also document work performed, track parts usage, and collaborate with team members to meet service-level expectations and support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong technical abilities in Maintenance & Repair, with hands-on experience servicing office equipment or similar devices. (3-5 years experience.)
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Field Service, including diagnosing issues on-site and resolving them efficiently and safely.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build professional relationships.
- Experience with routine Maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance schedules, parts replacement, and performance checks.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in electronics, mechanics, or related fields is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work. (Good Driving Record a plus)
- Ability to lift and move office equipment, use basic hand tools, and follow safety procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
